Melissa Grant, (30), is a physically fit single woman, who frequently fusses over her hair due to a lack of self-confidence. Unfortunately, Melissa’s gullibility makes her an easy target for exploitation. Despite these vulnerabilities, she’s deeply compassionate and selfless, always willing to help others.

A good mother to her five year old son, she falls in love and begins a new chapter in life. But the bottom drops out when the past comes back to haunt her.

Thrown into a cesspool of greed and corruption, Melissa comes face to face with adversaries she never thought possible and her journey becomes one of courage, resilience and transformation

Character Breakdown - Mike Grant - Supporting Lead

Mike Grant, early thirties, is a gentle man with a remarkable strength of character. His friends find his exceptional memory, especially regarding American history, annoying at times because he’s always correcting their mistakes. A Navy radioman and cryptographer stationed on a nuclear submarine, his tour of duty is approaching its end and he’s excited to begin a new career as a federal marshal.

Mike’s physical resilience, honed through Navy training, make him a perfect partner and protector for the love of his life, Melissa. Mike finds it hard to control his anger against Ted Drake, knowing the abuse Ted inflicted on Melissa. Even though their relationship is challenged by the unforeseen criminal actions of others, Mike remains steadfast in his love and support for Melissa and Isaac.

Character Breakdown -Ted Drake - Principal Antagonist.

Ted Drake, Melissa’s ex-husband, can’t come to terms with the fact she left, leading him to plot against her. Even though he carries excessive weight, he fancies himself as a ladies' man.

In truth, Ted’s a misogynist who resorts to violence and pettiness when he doesn’t get his way, going so far as to murdering Ashley, a local prostitute. While he sees himself as tough, he often runs from conflict with equally matched opponents. As a sociopath, Drake expertly conceals his violent tendencies, luring people in before revealing his true nature.
